Taurus season

From April 20th through May 20th, this earth sign, ruled by the planet Venus and the 2nd house, Taurus is the second of the zodiac and a fixed sign (Richards & Hundley, 2021, pg. 222).

A fixed sign is the middle of a season. Taurus is a fixed spring sign. Fixed signs can often be stubborn or perhaps in this sign more grounded than a mutable sign like Gemini or Sagittarius. In Greek mythology, the bull represents new life and lust for life. (Richards & Hundley, 2021, pg. 222).

If you have ever witnessed a happy and content bull in the fields or tried to move a bull out of a pasture, you may have noticed its carefree and laid-back attitude. A happy bull is moving slowly, carefree and easy.

An angry bull (on the other hand) like the ones you see in the rodeos or chasing a red flag, is in pain and writes a different story. The bull is angry and very powerful and could kill you!

If you have a sun, moon, or ascendant earth sign placement in your natal chart, you may feel this Taurus laid-back energy come almost instantly. Venus is the ruling sign of Taurus and represents love and prosperity.

My advice, stay grounded and tap into the happy bull who is free and roams the countryside. But be aware of the angry bull who is in pain and may run you over in the process. There are always two sides to everything in life! The challenge is to find the balance!

Grounded passion

Lazily nestle against the shade

The seed it grows

Watching patiently

Moving methodically

Rich calm surrender

Qualities shift shake

Sinking solid soil

A quiet mess

Inside jobs

Outside mobs

Disrupted from peace

Anger Insecure Fear

Sneaking speaking peeking

Alone. Again

Shady friends.

We are on the mend

Amends

Peace be Gratitude

Love always

don’t be rude. -Whitney Locke
