Aries season
Aries Season is THEEE new year! I mean come on think about it!
From March 21st through April 19th, this fire sign, ruled by Mars and the first house, is the first of the zodiac and a cardinal sign (Richards & Hundley, 2021, pg. 196).
A cardinal sign is the beginning of a new season (Aries=Spring). Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn are all cardinal signs (“Cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn”, 2020). They initiate and are known as visionaries, leaders, and the “self-starters.” Aries is symbolized by the Ram, which represents the top of the head, a crown, pure intelligence, and the Divine Ego of the human soul (Richards & Hundley, 2021, pg. 196).
Again, we are reminded of the child. But the child is not dreaming or using their imagination as they did in Pisces season. The child is activated and just a newborn. The child is self-obsessed, aware only of their needs, a risk-taker, bold, an Infinite Spirit, and full of excitement and youthful energy. Because Aries is ruled by Mars, it is felt by the nature of the warrior spirit and sometimes has combative vibes (Richards & Hundley, 2021, pg. 196).
If you have a sun, moon, or ascendant fire sign placement in your natal chart, you may feel this Aries energy come almost instantly. But remember we humans contain all of the elements, even if you try to avoid Aries effects during this season, it might be felt regardless (Sills, 2022)… My advice, stay grounded, stay present, use your voice, grow, and hold that inner child close with nurturing love and empathy.
This poem is to my sister, brother, mother, and father fire signs. This poem is for me. This poem is for Aries. This poem is for the newborn child that fights for what is right. This poem is for whatever it means for you at this moment. Enjoy!

Emerging from the deep…
Dark soil
A baby seedling.
I am soft words
Hush humming.
Holding. Caressing.
Tell me stories but don’t lie.
